A Message from Dr. Abulfarag
"Medicine is at its best when there is time to listen, understand, and build a trusted relationship."
After more than 50 years of practicing internal medicine, I've come to believe that healing happens best at home — where you're most comfortable, surrounded by familiar surroundings, and free from the distractions of a busy medical office.
It's where I can truly get to know you, understand your concerns, and provide care tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're managing a chronic condition, recovering from an illness, or simply seeking a physician who will take the time to listen, I offer personalized home visits on your schedule and your terms.
No traffic. No waiting rooms. No rushed appointments. Instead, experienced, compassionate care delivered in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Every visit is scheduled around your life — your schedule, your comfort, your priorities. There is no waiting room clock ticking behind you.
A house call is never a 10-minute appointment. It is an opportunity to truly assess your health in the context of your daily life and environment.
I get to know you as a whole person — your history, your concerns, and your goals — so that every recommendation is genuinely tailored to you.
Why Home Visits Matter
Research consistently shows that patients recover faster and experience better health outcomes when they receive care in the comfort of their own homes. A physician in your living room — rather than a fluorescent-lit office — changes the entire dynamic of the encounter.
At home, you are not a patient number. You are a person with a history, a routine, and an environment that tells me things no intake form ever could. I can see how you actually live, which medications are on your counter, and what physical and emotional stresses surround you day to day.
This depth of understanding leads to better diagnoses, more realistic treatment plans, and stronger adherence — because the plan fits your life rather than a hypothetical one.
What You Gain
Concierge Medicine
Concierge medicine is built on a simple premise: when a physician has fewer patients, each patient receives more. More time, more attention, more thoughtful follow-through.
Unlike a traditional practice where physicians may see 20 to 30 patients a day, my practice through SignatureMD is intentionally small. That means when you call, you speak to me — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via phone, email, or text. Visits run 30 to 45 minutes on average, and up to 90 minutes for comprehensive physicals. When your circumstances change, I adapt your care plan quickly and personally.
Reach me by phone, email, or text at any hour. Same-day or next-day appointments mean you never wait when you need care most.
Rather than reacting to illness, we focus on preventing it. Regular, thorough evaluations catch problems early and keep you functioning at your best.
Navigating specialists, tests, and medications is complex. I serve as your advocate and coordinator — ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
No intermediaries. No phone trees. You have direct access to your physician for questions, concerns, and follow-up — the way medicine used to be.
Specialized Geriatric Care
Older adults face a constellation of challenges that standard primary care often underserves: polypharmacy, cognitive changes, mobility concerns, social isolation, and the complex interplay of multiple chronic conditions. Geriatric medicine is the specialty designed to address all of these — not in isolation, but as a whole.
With decades of experience caring for older patients in their homes, I understand that what matters at 75 is different from what matters at 45. Goals shift. Priorities shift. Good geriatric care honors that — focusing on quality of life, functional independence, and dignity, alongside clinical management of disease.
I work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to create care plans that reflect not just medical needs, but the full picture of a person's life and wishes.
